Half Shell Dockside

We had my son's wedding rehearsal dinner here. A large group of over 50 people. The waitstaff was amazing. The food was amazing and was ordered from a full menu. It came out promptly without any mistakes. The appetizers were especially good and devoured by all present. Both adults and kids. We cannot recommend this place highly enough for a large group. We have also eaten here a few times with family and have enjoyed it each time.

Great views, great food, friendly staff, reasonable prices. It was the best of several places we tried in Apalachicola.

My afternoon experience was great. Had a couple of beers and a dozen of oysters on the half shell. My waitress, Destiny, was great and always had a big smile on her face.

The manager Amanda did a great job setting up our rehearsal dinner for 40+ people. Food and staff was excellent. She graciously allowed us to set up decorations tables, and center pieces ahead of time to our specifications. Mac and Cheese was a big hit. Thanks Amanda!

Food ws as pretty good. We went on Sunday and they had a bloody Mary bar that was fun.

Great dining experience! Raw oyster appetizer followed by grilled grouper was wonderful. Grilled asparagus-- great taste. Service was outstanding while on the outdoor deck watching boats pass by and listening to live music. And the finale-- peanut butter chocolate tart. Amazing evening.

Just so-so. Really wanted to like this new-ish addition to town but food was poorly cooked and service not great.

Came with a large group. They were very accommodating. The food was good. Right on the water with a nice outside deck! Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff was awesome.

Good food, quick service. During "winter" dock side seating is heated. (Which is very comfortable), live music was very enjoyable. Would highly reccomend the dockside oysters (steamed). Pictures are just of the entry area.

The grilled first mate platter with mac n cheese and baked potato was excellent!

Just had our wedding rehearsal dinner at Half Shell! Party of 55 and the staff here handled a group that big incredibly! The food was top notch, our family and friends loved the menu and atmosphere. Even with 55 people the food was out quickly. All around great experience. Would highly recommend this place for any group large or small. Thanks again for making an important day for us go so perfect!!

Stopped in here after dinner for some music and drinks. It was great to be on the river listening to an OK cover band, watching the crowd and having a few beers. Fun late night stop.

This is a great place to eat, watch the boats, or just drink and relax. Dog friendly deck. Full bar. Excellent service. Everything we have eaten there was great tasting. Sit on the deck, prop your feet up and watch the world go by.

Our server, Kimberly, made several suggestions all of which were outstanding! We started with Dockside Oysters, Calamari and Edamame. We all had different main entrees which were all delicious too! My collard greens were cooked perfectly. Thank you Kimberly for your excellent service and suggestions.

Excellent food and service. Probably the best restaurant view in town.

We loved sitting outside on the back deck under the sails with our pup, enjoying a breeze and watching the pelicans. We had the fried scallop basket and the shrimp po-boy, along with some Oyster City brews. Everything was delicious and the service was very good.
